Pout Pout Fish Freebie

We are beginning our unit of study on the ocean!  I have been reading The Pout Pout Fish by Deborah Diesen and the kiddos LOVE it!  First Grade Blue Skies has an adorable freebie on her TPT!  We made the fish and then I created this freebie so the kids could write about what turns THEIR frown upside down!  They turned out precious!  Click below for the freebie!  I linked the freebie to TPT now so try again!!

We just finished creating these adorable summer kids!  I great big PUFFY heart them!  I have put it on TPT!  Go check it out!  They all turn out so unique and the kids had "a ball" making them!!!!!

Welcome to the greatest show on earth!

We have been learning all about circus animals and the circus!  Mostly we have used ideas we have been doing for years and beefed it up by learning about some additional zoo animals from Deanna Jump's amazing zoo animal unit!  We wrapped up our unit with our kindergarten circus!  The entire school and all of our kindergarten parents come and watch the circus!  Here is our amazing adventure in pictures!

These are circus tents... they painted and drew themselves and wrote about what they would be doing in the circus!

Our funny clowns!  They loved designing their own faces!

Word wall on our bathroom door!  They used interactive writing to label circus words they would need to use in their writing!

These are fabulous non-fiction books that I found at Barnes and Noble!  They have just the right amount of information for kindergarten kiddos!  I bought all of the animals!!!

Stephen FIte Concert

I LOVE Stephen Fite!  For several years, I have been lucky enough to see him at Splash in Dallas.  For the past three years, our kindergarten classes have seen him in concert.  We saw him last week and he has a new album!

Little Bird

Have you seen this book? It's SO sweet.  It's about a little bird that gets blown from his nest and meets other animals on his way back home.
